Byron Bay Traffic

Byron Bay needs a serious traffic plan, the pedestrian interaction with the Johnson St / Shirley St roundabout can't continue the way it is. Anti jaywalking mesures and traffic lights need to be considered and improved, not excluded.

Byron Shire needs a good kick in the backside from the RMS if the traffic queues onto the Motorway.

Byron Shire Maths

Let's do some maths on the cover of the Byron Shire July 2017 Community Update.

If you add the numbers up at the bottom of the page you will find a problem.

27 + 14 + 9 + 9 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 7 + 6 + 3 + 2 + 1 = $102

What other maths problems exist if this isn't right.

Byron Shire Infrastructure Quality

You know that Byron Shire Council is spending the necessary money on infrastructure when you see this drive along Sunrise Boulevard in Byron Bay. Byron Shire Council must truly be in a desperate financial situation, time to amalgamate it with Ballina.

The picture is quit real, not Photoshoped in any way other than when I cropped it.

Byron Bay Triathlon - Prisoners in Our Own Homes

Yet again have residents of Byron Bay, Suffolk Park and Broken Head been made prisoners in their own homes. Over the last few years for some reason it has been seen fit to lock these people away in their homes and create major inconvenience for them.

What does the community gain from an event that almost shuts it down, nothing but the deprivation of our civil liberties freely come and go as we please from our homes.

The victims of this event live along and around the events route.

Re: Cinema leads petition opposing paid parking at Byron Bay

The Northern Star article Cinema leads petition opposing paid parking at Byron Bay this week caught my interest.

While parking in Byron Bay borders well beyond terrible, with some parking locations not even being sealed, I frequently as a local find myself unable to find a park. The reality is that Byron Bay needs paid parking on mass, but not at cost to its local ratepayers/residents who already shell out an arm and a leg to live hear. Most of us have no incentive to shop in Byron Bay as it's just plain to hard and is often quicker to travel to Ballina and shop instead.

Make the guests in our town pay to park not the people who live hear.
